Parking rates vary by location. Please find the RISE location you would like to visit below for more information about parking at The RISE.
The RISE at Old Westbury Gardens: Complimentary parking is located on site. There will be no parking fees collected when you arrive at The RISE.
The RISE at New Jersey Meadowlands Expo Center: Plenty of complimentary parking is located in some parking lots adjacent to the facility. There may be a fee at other lots.
The RISE at Boston Seaport: Seaport Boston has its own 2,300 space underground garage with easy access from Seaport Blvd, B and D Streets and Congress Streets. Hourly self-parking rates range from $13 - $38. Valet parking is also available at hourly rates ranging from $17 - $49.
The RISE at Los Angeles Convention Center: The Los Angeles Convention Center has 5,600 public parking spaces available located in three convenient parking structures (West Hall Garage, South Hall Garage and Venice Garage). Current parking rates start at $15.00 upon entry. There are no in/out privileges. Please note that parking rates and hours of operation is subject to change based on event activity in the LA Live Entertainment District.
The RISE at Fairplex, CA: Parking spaces and areas for guests with disabilities are available in all lots on a first-come, first-served basis. Disabled parking consists of two types, van accessible and standard accessible. Curb ramps are featured at the entrance levels. Parking lots surrounding the facilities also have spaces available which are located in areas nearest to the event entrance. All disabled guest parking is clearly marked with signage. ADA spaces are available in all lots and locations are based on the events. ADA drop-off & pick-up zones are located adjacent to Gate 1, Green Gate, 1101 W. McKinley Ave. Fairplex may charge a fee for parking.
The RISE is more of an art show, not a haunted event. The RISE is a bunch of really cool hand-carved illuminated jack o'lanterns with some really great music behind them! We do have some music that we consider "eerie" but not "scary". It is Halloween, you know! We think it's appropriate for children of all ages but only you can know if it's suitable for your child.
If you're a little late for your time you will still be admitted in with your valid ticket. There are no refunds or exchanges if you miss your date altogether.
We don't! Each week we have to replace the deceased jack o'lanterns with fresh ones. That's a lot of re-carving!
The RISE is a rain or shine event. In cases of severe weather, we reserve the right to cancel the event and re-issue you a ticket for a different day and time. For more information about our weather policy, click here.
The RISE is the most iconic, truly unique family-friendly fall event featuring thousands of hand-carved illuminated jack o’lanterns creatively arranged along a scenic walking path and set to a musical score designed to bring out the Halloween spirit in visitors of all ages! The various new and exciting themes created for 2016 are sure to impress both RISE newbies and returning RISE fans!
Yes! All kids 2 years and under come free! Anyone 3 and older needs a Child, Adult, or Senior ticket. Please note that while kids 2 and under are free for entry to The RISE, they still require a ticket. If you purchased your tickets through our website you will need to select the free child 2 and under option for all children 2 and under in your party. Children 2 and under will be admitted without a ticket if you purchased your tickets through one of our 3rd party partners such as Groupon, Living Social, Kickstarter or Goldstar.
Photography is permitted at The RISE however, for the safety of our guests, flash photography, tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are prohibited. We find that a slow synch or nighttime setting is optimal when taking photos of our jack o’lanterns.
We love pets but, for their safety and for the safety of our guests, we do not permit them at The RISE. Only guide dogs for the blind and service animals for people with disabilities will be permitted at The RISE in accordance with ADA requirements.
The Old Westbury Gardens pass that you can get from your local library is not valid for The RISE. You must purchase a ticket.
Each weekend we plan to carve and light 5,000 FRESH REAL PUMPKINS at each location! We’re planning on bringing in hundreds of carvers over a 2-day period prior to each weekend to get all the work done at each location! The RISE is the only jack o’lantern event in North America that comes close to carving 5,000 real pumpkins each weekend at each location (and doing it on two coasts simultaneously isn’t a walk through the pumpkin patch either!)
In addition to the 5,000 jack o'lanterns carved from real pumpkins, we'll also have a number of jacks carved using artificial craft pumpkins. Some of our artists prefer carving these because they can last forever.
The RISE at Los Angeles Convention Center; Fairplex, CA; Boston Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center; and New Jersey Meadowlands will be held indoors. The RISE at Old Westbury Gardens is an outdoor event so be sure to dress appropriately for weather conditions!
Absolutely! Each year, most dates and times sell out quickly.
Wheelchairs are permitted at The RISE, though we do not supply them on-site. While some venues may have wheelchairs available for their guests during daytime hours, we cannot guarantee that they will be made available for use by The RISE. If you require a wheelchair, please make sure to bring your own as we will not be able to provide one for use once you arrive.
Certain dates and times sell out fast. You may click on the Buy Tickets tab to see which dates and times are still available.
The RISE will have delicious snacks and beverages available for purchase in the pre-show area. Outside food is not permitted.
If you arrive earlier than your ticket time you will need to wait until your timeslot is being admitted so it's best to try to arrive right on time!

We do not sell any of the jack o’lanterns on our trail so that we can deliver the same experience to all of our guests throughout the month.
The RISE will be held on various evenings throughout the month of October. Advanced tickets are required and are sold on a first-come first-served basis. Please click “Buy Tickets” for locations, dates and times. The RISE sells out fast so order your tickets now before they’re gone!
Some take a few minutes, others take up to 20 hours!
All of our artists are committed to creating AMAZING displays for you to see at The RISE! We are very busy carving all month long and, as such, we cannot work on any outside commissions.
Strollers are permitted at The RISE, however, due to the size of our trail, double-wide strollers are prohibited. We will be able to accommodate tandem strollers. The RISE does not supply strollers on-site. While some venues may have strollers available for their guests during daytime hours, we cannot guarantee that they will be made available for use by The RISE. Please bring your own stroller from home as we will not be able to provide one for use once you arrive.
Once an order is placed, there are NO REFUNDS on tickets unless the event is cancelled and a postponement date is not offered. NO EXCEPTIONS will be granted due to poor weather conditions, scheduling conflicts, illness, or other personal issues. In the event of a cancellation, instructions on how to obtain a refund will be posted to The RISE website. Refunds are only made to the original purchaser and are issued for the value of the tickets only. RISE tickets are transferrable and can be given to friends/family/etc. if you are unable to attend.
This is likely because you are trying to obtain more tickets than what we have remaining for a particular date/time. You may need to select a different date/time that can accommodate your whole party.
Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited anywhere on the grounds or parking lots at all RISE locations.

Additional items may also not be permitted at The RISE. Please use your best judgment and do not bring anything that may be potentially harmful or disruptive. In an effort to ensure the safety of our guests and employees, we reserve the right to inspect backpacks and bags of any kind prior to admission. Any guest who refuses to submit to a search request may not be permitted to enter The RISE.
Members of Old Westbury Gardens must purchase a ticket to The RISE. Discount tickets are available to members while supplies last by signing up for a promocode using the information given to you by your organization.
If I purchase a membership/tickets package for Old Westbury Gardens can I get into a sold out timeslot?
If a timeslot sells out of general admission tickets but there are still membership ticket packages available for that timeslot, you may purchase one of those packages. If a timeslot sells out of general admission tickets AND membership ticket packages, becoming a member will not get you into that timeslot. Please select tickets for an available date/time.
What if I want to purchase an Old Westbury Gardens Membership with Tickets package from your website but I need more tickets than what comes with the package?
The RISE currently sells tickets bundled with one-year Memberships to Old Westbury Gardens. Membership ticket packages come with a set number of tickets to The RISE depending on the membership level you select. The tickets offered with the membership packages are at a discounted rate. You will not be able to purchase additional tickets at this same rate; however, you can add any available regular priced general admission tickets to your cart in addition to the membership package you choose.
RISE ticket rates vary depending on the date, time, and location but range from $22-$26 + up to $1.50 for fees. You can sign up to receive a promocode for discounted tickets by visiting therise.org/ghost.
You do not have to buy a separate pass for Old Westbury Gardens. You just need your RISE ticket.
RISE tickets are valid for admission to The RISE only. RISE tickets do NOT include daytime admission to any RISE locations.
I have tickets for The RISE and need to add one or two more but it's now sold out for my timeslot. What do I do?
If you need additional tickets for a sold out timeslot, you may join the wait list for that time. We cannot guarantee that any tickets will become available but, if we are able to accommodate your request, we will send you an email with a link to purchase your additional tickets from the wait list.
You can sign up to receive a promocode for discounted tickets to The RISE by visiting therise.org/ghost and submitting your email address. An automatic email will be sent to you with your promocode. Promocodes are good for a variable discount of up to 50% off. There are a limited number of discounted tickets available per promocode to select dates and time slots. Tickets sell out quickly so get yours now before they’re gone!
I purchased vouchers on a Daily Deals website such as Groupon, Living Social or Goldstar. Do I need to redeem them for tickets to The RISE? How do I do that?
Yes. You will need to redeem your vouchers on our website to obtain your tickets. Please follow the directions on your voucher to redeem for your RISE tickets.
The RISE has a general no-exchange policy; however, we may be able to honor an exchange request based upon ticket availability as long as certain circumstances are met. Click here to read more about our exchange policy and see if you meet the exchange criteria. RISE tickets are transferable and can be given to friends or family if you are unable to attend your scheduled date and time.
Sorry, RISE tickets are only valid on the date and time for which they were purchased. We do not offer refunds and tickets cannot be exchanged once their original date has passed.
TheRISE.org has a cool mobile site that will display a .PDF of your bar-coded tickets on Smartphones (iPhone, Android, Windows). You can login to our website upon arrival or open your order email to pull up your bar-coded tickets. Then if you prefer, save your order PDF directly to your phone and you won't even need Internet access at the venue to pull up your tickets. You don't need to download any special apps at all! Sweet!
After you place your order, we will automatically email you a link to view/download/print your tickets. You could also login to our website to view/print your tickets. All tickets are delivered electronically and are not sent in the mail. We do not hold or sell tickets at the door.
Yes! We pre-sell all of our tickets so we can limit the number of people who are on the trail at any given time. It's a safety thing. We will not be selling tickets at the door. You can purchase your tickets by clicking on the Buy Tickets tab at the top of the page. You can also sign up for a promocode to get discounted tickets by visiting therise.org/ghost.
The timeslot doesn't say SOLD OUT or WAIT LIST ONLY but when I click on it there are no more General Admission tickets. What's the deal?
We hold back a handful of tickets for each timeslot for those who wish to purchase a membership to Old Westbury Gardens with their tickets to The RISE. If General Admission tickets sell out for the timeslot you want, there may be a few more tickets available if you become a member of Old Westbury Gardens.
Yes! Active Duty US Military and their families can get a promocode for discounted tickets by visiting http://www.therise.org/military
If you have a smartphone (iPhone, Android, Windows) you can login to our website or open your order email upon arrival to pull up your bar-coded tickets. If you don't have a smartphone, write down your order number and bring it to Guest Services upon arrival. You will need to verify the last 4 digits of the credit card you used.
Tickets go on sale to the general public in September. To find out exactly when or to get access to our pre-sale tickets, please visit therise.org/ghost.
The promocode email is sent to you immediately after you submit your email address. If you signed up for a promocode and haven't gotten an email back, it's likely in your SPAM FOLDER. Please check there. If you didn't receive your promocode and it's not in your spam folder, there may have been a typo when you submitted your email address. Try submitting your email address again by visiting therise.org/ghost.

I have tickets for one time and my friends have tickets for another time. Can we all go in together?
RISE tickets are only valid for the date and time they were purchased. Please be sure to coordinate with your group so that you all have tickets for the same time.
An automatic email with a link to print your tickets is sent to you right after you place your order. If you’ve placed your order and haven't received this email, CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER. Be sure to check the email account that you gave us when purchasing your tickets. You can also log in to our website to view and print your tickets using the email address you gave us and the password you created when completing your order. The trail closes 30 minutes after the last scheduled ticket time. Those who are still on the trail will be able to finish the walk through at their own pace, however no further entry will be permitted at that time.
Tickets to The RISE are sold on a first-come first-served basis. There will be no holds placed on ticket orders.
All tickets to The RISE are sold online in advance. As such, we cannot accept cash or checks but we do accept all major credit cards. We will not be selling tickets at the door.
